Receiving a refund and keeping the product

Question:-

I’d bought a product online from China. The product arrived two month’s later than expected, and is defective. The website offers two options; either to return it, or to get a refund without returning it, as sending it back would be a problem due to our postal services and expensive couriers. Would it be permissible to keep the product and get a refund?

Answer:-

If the company refunds you in full, due to the product being defective, then you are entitled to the refund. Thereafter, if they gift the products to you, then there is no harm in keeping the faulty product for yourself.
