Question:-
If a person is performing Salaah alone, will it be okay for him to recite Qiraat aloud?
Answer:-
We assume your question pertains to the Fardh Salaah. The Fardh Salaah should be performed in congregation in the Masjid as performing Salaah in Jamaat is Sunnat-e-Muakkadah, in fact it is close to Waajib. However, if for some reason one was unable to attend the congregational Salaah due to illness or due to travelling etc. then one is permitted to omit the Jamaat Salaah. The Zuhr and Asr Salaah must be performed silently whilst the remaining three Salaah may be performed either audibly or silently. However, it is better to perform the Maghrib, Esha and Fajr Salaah audibly so that it is discharged as the Jamaat Salaah is discharged.
