Reward Of Performing Salaah In Haramain Shareefain

Hadrat Abdullah Bin Zubair Radiallahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, “A single Salaah in this Masjid of mine (i.e. Masjidun Nabawi) is better than 1000 Salaah in other Masaajid, except Masjidul Haraam. A single Salaah in Masjidul Haraam is better than 100 000 Salaah in this Masjid.” [Musnad Ahmad]

Hadrat Jabir Radiallahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, “A single Salaah in this Masjid of mine is better than 1000 Salaah in other Masaajid, except Masjidul Haraam. A Jumu’ah Salaah in this Masjid of mine is better than 1000 Jumu’ah Salaah in other Masaajid, except Masjidul Haraam. Spending the month of Ramadhaan in this Masjid of mine is better than a 1000 months of Ramadhaan in other Masaajid, except Masjidul Haraam.” [As-Suyuti]

Hadrat Abu Darda Radiallahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, “The superiority of Salaah in Masjidul Haraam over the other Masaajid is by 100 000, in my Masjid, by 1000, and in the Masjid of Baitul Maqdis, by 500.” [Al Bazzaar]

Ibn Khuzaymah Rahimahullah narrates the above as follows:

“A single Salaah in Masjidul Haraam is superior to Salaah in other Masaajid by 100 000 Salaah. A single Salaah in the Masjid of Madinah is superior to Salaah in other Masaajid by 1000 Salaah. A single Salaah in the Masjid of Baitul Maqdis is superior to Salaah in other Masaajid by 500 Salaah.”

Hadrat Anas Bin Maalik Radiallahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, “Whoever performs 40 Salaah in my Masjid without missing a single Salaah, shall have security from the fire of Jahannam, and security from punishment is recorded in his favour. And he will be secure from hypocrisy.” [Musnad Ahmad]
