Salaah in front of a gas heater

QUESTION:-

What is ruling if we place a gas heater in the front Saff i.e. in front of the Musallee?

ANSWER:-

After extensively searching the Kitaabs of Fiqh, we were unable to find a ruling which explicitly prohibits one from performing Salaah before a burning fire or heater, particularly when there is a need to keep warm. Also, one does not perform Salaah before a gas heater with the intention of resembling the fire worshippers, rather Salaah is performed purely for the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala, hence there is no issue in performing Salaah in front of a gas heater.
