Salaah of security officers working with dogs

Question:-

How would a K9 handler/person, who works with dogs, go about reading Salaah, such as security/police officers, since they work with dogs on a daily basis and the saliva of dogs is impure? Should one refrain from working in such conditions?

Answer:-

There is no problem working with dogs as a security or police officer, even though the saliva of a dog is considered as impure. One should simply have a different set of clothing for work, and a different set of clothing for Salaah. When he intends performing Salaah, he should wash his hands and those parts of the body that came into contact with the saliva of the dog, change his clothing, and perform Salaah with the clean clothing. When he returns to work, he may wear his work clothing. We hope that the above explanation answers your query.
