We strongly advise that you refrain from reading Shamsul Ma’arif by Ahmad Al-Buni. The book discusses magic and other related issues such as astrological calculations. The author also discusses magic squares and the combination of numbers and alphabets through which one is able to communicate with Jinn, angels, and spirits. We have Quraan and Hadith which will suffice us in every time and era hence there is no need to study the book in question.
