Traces of lip balm on the lip after Wudhu

Question:-

I have a lip-balm and other lipsticks which I generally use. These products are vegan-friendly and on the packaging of the product, it does not mention that the product is waterproof whereas other products from the same company state that the products are waterproof, if they happen to be waterproof.

Sometimes, after performing Wudhu, I find traces of the product present on my lips, whilst at other times, all the product seems to have washed off.
Sometimes, I also find traces of the product on my the tissue which I use to wipe my face after performing Wudhu.

1) I’d like to know if, in the above instance, it is necessary for me to repeat my Wudhu upon finding traces of the product on me or on the tissue?

2)  If in the above instance it is necessary for me to do so, then I’d like to know if it would be necessary for me to repeat those Salaah which I had read after performing Wudhu with the product on, and then found traces of the product on my skin/tissue?

Answer:-

It is best that you check with the manufacturing company whether the product is permeable or not, even though the packaging doesn’t state that it is waterproof. If water can penetrate the product (meaning that it is permeable), then there is no issue if water reached all the areas that were required to be washed during Wudhu. However, if the product is not permeable and remained on the lips during Wudhu (which later manifested itself on the tissue), then Wudhu will not be valid if it prevented water from reaching the skin. In this instance, the Salaah performed with an incomplete Wudhu will have to be repeated. We hope that the above explanation clarifies the matter.
