Question:-
A friend asked me my opinion. He would like to translate a biography of Ibn Qayyim al Jowzi. I understand that salafis are very inclined to him, so i do not want to cause more pro-Salafis etc. We the Ahlus Sunnah also love him. Can Mufti Saheb please advise me!
Answer:-
Ibn Jowzi Rahimahullah was a great Alim but criticised many Awliya. Hence, one should refrain from translating his works as it could result in confusion whereby people will show disrespect to the Awliya.
