Using interest funds to purchase equipment for a Masjid

Question:-

Can interest funds be used to purchase Quraan stands and fans for a Masjid?

Answer:-

Interest funds cannot be used to buy Qur’aan stands or fans for Masjid use.

Interest funds must be disposed of to the poor Muslims that are eligible to receive Zakaat, or to poor non-Muslims. Interest funds cannot be used in the Masaajid as it is a place of sanctity. The Muslim community should be encouraged to contribute (from their Halaal funds) towards the needs of the Masjid.
