Warning cited in Hadith for not performing Hajj in spite of it being obligatory
Question:-
Is there any Hadith that speaks about the repercussions of a person who does not perform Hajj, even when they have the means to do so? Will this person be sinful if they pass away without performing Hajj, even though they had the means?
Answer:-
The Hadith states that if a person has the means of performing Hajj yet he doesn’t perform Hajj, then he may pass away as a Jew or Christian. [Shua’bul Imaan Pg.443 Vol.5 / Tirmidhi Pg.167 Vol.3]
عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ” مَنْ مَلَكَ زَادًا وَرَاحِلَةً يَبْلُغُ بِهِ إِلَى بَيْتِ اللهِ فَلَمْ يَحُجَّ فَلَا عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَمُوتَ يَهُودِيًّا أَوْ نَصْرَانِيًّا،
