Question:-
What is buried under Masjid-e-Aqsa, and why are the Jews fighting for it?
We read an Islamic book which states that there is a book containing some evil buried under the Masjid,or Pandora’s box, but we are not 100% convinced. Could you kindly clarify this claim.
Answer:-
The Jews believe that the remains of the place of worship of Sulaiman Alaihis Salaam, known as(Haykal-e-Sulaimani), is beneath the Masjid. They therefore believe that it is disrespectful to even walk over these remains by entering the Masjid. Majority of the Jews are waiting for some unseen incident to occur, so that the Haykal-e-Sulaimaani may be once again erected, but some impatient Jews have decided to attend to this great task themselves. They regard entering the Masjid and walking on the underground remains permissible on the basis that they will enter the Masjid to perform Salaah and make Dua but with the excuse that they will lay the foundation of the Haykal-e-Sulaimaani. In search of these remains, they have dug underground tunnels, and some corrupt Jews have even placed chemicals in between the bricks of the Masjid so that it crumbles to pieces, in order to accomplish their task.
However, this belief is incorrect according to the Muslims, Christians and Jews. This area (Masjid-e-Aqsa) was a place of worship of the pious servants of Allah Ta’ala even before the existence of the Jews. Many believe that Masjid-e-Aqsa was initially built by Hadrat Dawood Alaihis Salaam and Sulaiman Alaihis Salaam, with the assistance of the Jinn. However, the reality is that this place was recognized as a place of worship from the time of Adam Alaihis Salaam. The narration in Saheeh Al-Bukhari states that there is a difference of 40 years between the building of Masjid Haraam and Masjid-e-Aqsa. The Baitullah was initially built on the instruction of Hadrat Adam Alaihis Salaam, and Baitul Muqaddas was built 40 years later, which was way before the time of Hadrat Sulaiman Alaihis Salaam. This is proven from the books of the Jews and Christians as well, and none have rejected it.

In conclusion, their main objective is to once again construct the Haikal-e-Sulaimaani, and in order to achieve that, they are in search of the remains of the place of worship of Sulaiman Alaihis Salaam which they believe is buried beneath Masjid-e-Aqsa.
