Where should females remain during unrest?

Question:-

With this possible shutdown, my husband was asking what I would do if the men are called to defend the community and leave the home. My response was, “I’ll stay alone at home.” I don’t stay close to my family. The closest family we have is my husband’s family and cousins who  live about five minutes away from us. My husband suggested that I leave the home and stay with other women, be it some of his family, or friends. However, personally, I feel very uncomfortable to leave my home, and I am also able to defend myself.

What would be the best for me to do? Could I go to the ladies section in the local mosque? Do I stay at home? Do I go to family? How would I decide in a situation?

I’m not sure what would be best in terms of Deen and me? Have there been situations like this in the past, and what was done with the women?

Answer:- 

During the era of Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, when the men would go out to wage war against the Kuffar, then some Sahaabah would be appointed to remain behind and take care of the womenfolk. Hence, if a situation arises in the future in our country (where the men are required to go out and defend the community), then groups of females should jointly gather in one or a few homes that are perhaps in the same vicinity, and this area may then be protected by some individuals (males).
