Question:-

Yet another female, a so-called “motivational speaker” from abroad, is in SA. She is Yousrra Kandil.

Personally, I don’t know anything about her but I do know, from what I’ve see on Whatsapp, that she’s made videos and speaks at public gatherings.There are a few programmes lined up in some major cities during the coming week or two.

Kindly enlighten us on this speaker Mufti Sahib in terms of Aqeedah etc. so that people don’t just follow and are misled in the wrong direction.

Answer:-

Youssra Kamel Kandil is yet another modernist speaker that is distanced from the Quraan and Sunnah, and a means of leading others astray. Again, like other modernist speakers, she too has her pictures displayed all over Instagram, to the extent that, she is even posing with a man in one of her pictures. She states that her goal is to bring the focus back to the Quraan and Sunnah, whereas she goes against the teachings of Allah and His Rasul Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam. It seems that she participated in a television programme while she was in Egypt, which was broadcast worldwide. Islam promotes modesty and Hayaa, whereas she presents herself on television channels promoting shamelessness and immodesty. It also seems that she is in constant contact with various scholars from whom she acquires her knowledge, whereas she is supposed to be observing Purdah from strange men. Her method of propagating knowledge of Deen is by filming inspirational videos, which are Haraam. In conclusion, it is quite evident that she is deviated and will lead many others astray hence, the Muslim public should refrain from attending any of her programmes.
