Rami on the 13th of Dhul Hijjah

Question:-

My concern is about being in Mina on the 13th of Dhul Hijjah. We were always told that we must be in Mina before the time of Fajr sets in. Please advise!

Answer:-

On the 10th of Dhul Hijjah, the Hujjaj will leave Muzdalifah after Fajr (before sunrise) and proceed to Mina. The Haaji will pelt the Jamaratul Aqabah on the 10th of Dhul Hijjah. Then on the 11th of Dhul Hijjah, the Haaji will pelt all three Jamaaraat after Zawaal. Similarly, all three Jamaaraat  will be pelted on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah. If the Haaji intends leaving Mina on the 12th, then he should do so before Maghrib. It is Makrooh to leave after Maghrib. However, if he is in Mina on the 13th at the time of Subh Saadiq, then Rami becomes Waajib , and if not carried out, it will necessitate a Damm. It is Sunnah to spend the nights in Mina.
