Wearing a Turban without a tail

Question:-

What is the Fatwa with regard to wearing a Turban without a tail?

Answer:-

The best way of tying the Turban is, by allowing the tail to hang. According to authentic narrations, the tail of the Turban should be left to hang at the rear. One may either allow the bottom part of the Turban to hang or the top, or both, the top and the bottom. Yes, some Ulama have permitted wearing a Turban without a tail. [Re:- Jam’ul Wasaa’il Pg.168 Vol.1] However, the established Sunnah and practice of Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam is to wear a Turban with the tail.
