Salaah on an aeroplane

QUESTION:-

If a person is travelling by air, and is not permitted to read his Salaah in the aisle or elsewhere on the plane, what should he do?

ANSWER:-

If you are not permitted to stand and offer your Salaah on the plane, or the plane is so small that to perform Salaah while standing is not possible, then Salaah should be performed while seated. However, the Salaah will have to be repeated later, after landing. However, it is possible that if a person politely requests the flight crew to accommodate one by providing a little area to perform Salaah, they generally oblige.  [Re: Kitaab-un-Nawaazil Vol. 5 Pg 470; Ahsanul Fatawaa Vol. 4 Pg 90]
