Females attending ladies programs

QUESTION:

An Aalim is having a few programs in our town including a ladies program. Is there more reward for the ladies to attend the program in person, or to listen via a live-streaming link?

ANSWER:

If the Bayaan is streamed live, then the females should listen over the live-streaming link. It is better for females not to leave their homes. They haven’t been permitted to leave their homes for the congregational Salaah, Jumuah Salaah, Eid Salaah, etc. hence in this instance too, they should remain at home and listen to the broadcast.
