Virtue Of A Wazifah

QUESTION:

What is the virtue of reciting the following and blowing on someone:

سُبُّوحٌ ,قُدُّوسٌ , غَفُورٌ , وَدُودٌ

Is there any authenticity to the claim that if the aforementioned Names are recited and thereafter one blows on a person, then love will be created in that person?

ANSWER:

We could not find any such narration with the virtue/benefit cited in the query. Perhaps it is a practice or an experience of a pious person. The word الودود  is one of the beautiful Names of Allah Ta’ala and means ‘The Most Loving’. One may read this Name and through the blessing of this Name of Allah Ta’ala, He will create love between spouses or parents and children.

Furthermore, Hadrat Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Saheb Rahimahullah writes that, there are four Names of Allah Ta’ala; if read in abundance, it will suffice in fulfilling one’s needs. A friend of Hadrat residing in Saudi Arabia informed him that whoever he shared this Wazifah with and they recited it, were successful in having their objectives fulfilled.

The four Names of Allah Ta’ala are:

يَا سُبُّوْحُ يَا قُدُّوْسُ يَا غَفُوْرُ يَا وَدُوْدُ
