Health Organizations Funded By National Lottery

QUESTION:

Can patients use charity-based health organizations, which are funded through the national lottery, to whom the NHS has referred them? There is no cost to the patient and they offer services such as cancer support, rehabilitation, speech and language therapy, etc.

ANSWER:

If the sickness is such that it is life threatening, then it will be permissible to receive treatment from such health organizations. However, if the sickness is not life threatening, then it will not be permissible. You should rather wait and be treated by the NHS.
