Aborting a child due to rape

Question:-

What is the Islamic viewpoint on abortion due to rape?

Answer:-

If a female is impregnated as a result of being raped, then she is permitted to abort the child before the limbs are formed and the Rooh is inserted into the fetus. It will not be permissible to abort the child after the limbs are formed and the Rooh has been inserted into the fetus. [Re:- Fataawa Darul Uloom Zakariyya pg.763 Vol.6]
