QUESTION:
Does Allah desire that man be successful in the Dunya, or does he only want man to be successful in the Akhirah?
ANSWER:
Allah Ta’ala sent the Quraan Sharif which is our constitution, and Ambiya Alaihimus Salaam as guides in the world. Those things that were most beneficial for man, he made Fardh, and those that were most harmful, he made Haraam. Also, the Quraan Sharif states, It is He Who created for you (for your benefit) whatever is on earth. [Surah Baqarah, Verse 29] It is clear from the above that Allah Ta’ala desires good for both our Dunya and Aakhirah.
