Answer:-
CBD is a chemical that is derived from the cannabis plant. The cannabis plant has the potential of giving one the feeling of being “high”, as recorded (in articles) on the internet. The chemical derived from the plant would, therefore, be categorized as a drug and would not be permissible to utilize under normal circumstances. Yes, its use is permitted when used as treatment, if a (Halaal) alternative is not available, and it is known with certainty that one will be cured by it.
The CBD sweet gummies have a similar effect as the Cannabis oil in the sense that, it relieves one of pain and promotes sleep. These sweet products give one a “high” feeling for approximately 5-6 hours as recorded on the internet. Hence, its usage will only be permitted as treatment if a Halaal alternative is not available, and it is known with certainty that one will be cured by it as stated above, otherwise not.
