Dressing small children in Islamic attire

Question:-

From what age should parents don their kids in Islamic Attire such as scarf / Burqah for girls, and Topis for boys?

What are the best clothes to dress them in?

Answer:-

Generally, newborn children are dressed in infants clothing as having clothing sewn for them at that age is difficult. However, once they are able to wear sewn garments, then we should preferably opt for the Sunnah clothing which is the Kurta and pants for boys, and long dresses and cloaks for girls. Boys should be taught to wear the Topi, whilst girls should be introduced to scarfs and Burqahs. The earlier we introduce them to our clothing the more beneficial it will be for them as they will grow up with the love of Islamic attire and Sunnah.
