Dressing to Please One’s Spouse

QUESTION:

Is dressing according to western standards permissible if one intends to please their spouse?

ANSWER:

Regarding this Hadhrat Mufti Mahmood Saheb says:

“If clothing is worn merely to imitate the Kuffaar, then it won’t be permissible to even wear such clothing. However, that clothing which is worn by a person and it’s not necessarily an imitation of the Kuffaar clothing, will be permissible to wear.” (Fataawa Mahmoodiyya Vol.19 Pg 290
