Bird droppings on one’s clothing

Question:-

After making Umrah, as I completed and exited the Sa’ee area, I bent down to wear my shoes and I saw the dropping/excretion of a bird dried on my abaya. I’m not sure when it got on my abaya but I do know that I passed a whole lot of birds well before I commenced my Umrah. I read a few Salaahs with that same Abaya as well, before seeing the mess. What is the status of my umrah and my Salaahs?

Answer:-

If the droppings on the cloak were less than a Dirham (which is approximately the size of the palm), then performing Salaah (or Tawaaf/Umrah) with such clothing will be valid.

وَقَالَ أَبُو حنيفَة الروث كُله سَوَاء وروث الْحمار وَالْفرس إِذا أصَاب الثَّوْب مِنْهُ أَو النَّعْل أَكثر من قدر الدِّرْهَم لم تجز الصَّلَاة فِيهِ وَقَالَ أَبُو يُوسُف وَمُحَمّد تجزى الصَّلَاة فِيهِ إِلَّا أَن يكون كثيرا فَاحِشا  (الأصل ص37 ج1)
