Embracing and greeting fellow Muslims immediately after the Eid Salaah

Question:-

What is the ruling in regards to embracing and greeting fellow Muslim brothers immediately after the Eid Salaah?

Answer:-

The act of greeting and embracing fellow Muslim brothers immediately after the Eid Salaah is an innovation which is considered as Makrooh. Such a practice is not proven from Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Yes, if one meets a brother on the day of Eid, and greets him or embraces him, then there is no harm in doing so. The prohibition applies to immediately after the Eid Salaah. [Re:- Ahsanul Fataawa Pg.354 Vol.1]
