Females drinking water from male teacher’s glass

Question:-

Is it permissible for female students to drink from the male Ustaadh’s cup at Madrasah?

Answer:-

It seems from the texts of the Fuqaha (jurists) that if there is fear of attaining enjoyment from drinking the leftover water of the opposite gender, then it is Makrooh to drink it. However, in our times of evil and Fitnah, it is almost certain that one would attain enjoyment from doing so, hence it will not be permissible at all for the female students to consume the remaining water of the male Asaatizah.

نَعَمْ يُكْرَهُ سُؤْرُهَا لِلرَّجُلِ كَعَكْسِهِ لِلِاسْتِلْذَاذِ وَاسْتِعْمَالِ رِيقِ الْغَيْرِ، وَهُوَ لَا يَجُوزُ مُجْتَبًى. (رد المحتار ص221 ج1)
