QUESTION:
How can I use my teaching degree for the sake and pleasure of Allah Ta’ala and Deen. I have been offered to run an Islamic school. How can I change the perspective of subjects to be viewed more in line with Deen. What can I implement in this school?
ANSWER:
If it is a female-only school with only female educators where little children will be given basic education and training, then it will be acceptable. Your school should provide education to learners up to grade five or six at the maximum. We do not promote secular education, nor do we promote Muslims attending university due to the Fitnas prevalent. It is no longer a matter of falling into sin, rather it is a matter of losing one’s Imaan which will result in everlasting destruction. In conclusion, together with basic secular education you should introduce Kitaabs on Islamic Aqaa’id, good character which deal will all matters across the board, Sunnats together with its practical implementation, Hayaa, Purdah, not engaging with the opposite gender, respect to teachers, parents and eventually spouses, etc. The current immorality and shamelessness being promoted in our secular schools and included in the curriculum should be avoided.
