Keeping The Ka’bah as Wallpaper

QUESTION:

Is it permissible to have an image of the Ka’bah as a wallpaper on one’s phone?

ANSWER:

Although, fundamentally, it will be permissible to have the Ka’bah as a wall paper on the phone, one should avoid doing so as this would be tantamount to showing disrespect to the salient features of Deen. Allah Ta’ala says in the Quraan Majeed:

وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ شَعَائِرَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقْوَى الْقُلُوبِ (الحجّ آ:32)

“And whosoever honours the symbols (salient fearures) of Allah, then it is indeed from the piety of the heart.”

ALLAH TA’ALA ALONE IN HIS INFINITE KNOWLEDGE KNOWS BEST!
