Question:-
Is it Waajib to listen to the Eid Khutbah?
Answer:-
The Khutbah of the 2 Eids is Sunnah. It is not Waajib to sit for the Khutbah. However, if one was sitting and the Khutbah commenced, then it becomes Waajib to listen to the Khutbah. If one gets up and leaves, then he will be sinful. Hence, one should refrain from getting up and leaving. [Re:- I’laa-us-Sunan Pg.144 Vol 8]
