Making Sajdah on one’s Burqah

Sep 21, 2022 | Salaah

Question:-

If a woman is performing sajdah and her Burqa naturally falls on her place of Sajdah without her intentionally placing it there, and she performs Sajdah on top of the Burqa, is her Sajdah correct?
Will it be better to always move the Burqa away from the place of Sajdah so the face may touch the ground directly?

Answer:-

The Sajdah will be valid as long as she presses her head on the ground to the extent that she is able to feel the firmness of it. If the Burqah material is thick due to which feeling the firmness of the ground may not be possible, then she may remove the Burqah from the Musallah using one hand and then make Sajdah.
