Methods of Sajdah-e-Tilaawat

Question:-
What is the status of making Sajdah-e-Tilaawat (it being Sunnah, Waajib or Fardh)? What is the method of performing Sajdah-e-Tilaawat?
Answer:-
It is Waajib (obligatory) to perform Sajdah-e-Tilaawat if one had recited any of the 14 verses of the Quraan Sharif which necessitates Sajdah. These verses are distinctly marked in the Quraan Sharif.
سببه التلاوة على التالي والسامع في الصحيح وهو واجب على التراخي إن لم يكن في الصلاة وكره تأخيره تنزيها (ثمرة النجاح ص46 ج2)
One is simply required to say the Takbeer and proceed into Sajdah from the standing posture, where he will recite the Masnoon Tasbeeh of Sajdah and then return to the standing position after saying the Takbeer again. This is the method of performing Sajdah-e-Tilaawat if the verse of Sajdah was recited out of Salaah.
وكيفيتها أن يسجد سجدة واحدة بين تكبيرتين هما سنتان بلا رفع يد ولا تشهد ولا تسليم (ثمرة النجاح ص55 ج2)
If the verse of Sajdah was recited in Salaah, then one should say the Takbeer and proceed into Sajdah (where the Masnoon Tasbeehaat of Sajdah will be recited) and thereafter return to the standing posture after saying the Takbeer and continue with Qiraat.
It can also be discharged by performing a Ruku in Salaah, besides the obligatory Ruku of Salaah. In this case, instead of going into Sajdah, one will proceed into Ruku, recite the Masnoon Tasbeehaat of Ruku, and return to the standing posture and continue with Qiraat.
One may also discharge the obligation of Sajdah-e-Tilaawat in the Ruku of Salaah if he intended Sajdah-e-Tilaawat in the Ruku, with the proviso that he has not recited more than 2 verses (after the verse of Sajdah).
The obligation of Sajdah-e-Tilaawat may also be discharged in the Sajdah of Salaah even though one may not have had the Niyyat of Sajdah-e-Tilaawat. However, this is with the proviso that he has not recited more than 2 verses (after the verse of Sajdah).
