Qadhaa Salaah in the hospital bed

Question:-

Whilst in hospital, I missed my Fajr Salaah. At the time, I was unable to perform Salaah whilst standing or sitting. The only way I could have performed the Salaah was whilst lying down in bed. I later made the Qadha in the hospital bed whilst lying down. Is my Qadha valid?

Answer:-

The Qadhaa of the missed Fajr Salaah (during your stay in hospital) performed whilst lying down (with gestures for Ruku and Sajdah), was valid and does not have to be repeated.

فإن لم يستطع القعود استلقى على ظهره وجعل رجليه إلى القبلة وأومأ بالركوع والسجود، وإن استلقى على جنبه ووجهه إلى القبلة وأومأ جاز (المختصر القدوري ص144)
