Question:-
We have often hear that it is Makrooh to recite the Quraan Sharif for the deceased between the time of death and before the Ghusl is given. Could Muftī please explain the reasoning behind it?
Answer:-
One should refrain from making Tilaawat by the deceased before Ghusl is executed due to the deceased being in a state of Najaasat (due to death). Some have stated that the impurity is categorized as Hadas, hence Tilaawat is permitted. However, caution dictates that one should refrain from Tilaawat until Ghusl is executed.
