Removing hair from the chest and back

Question:-

I went to the barber the other day and found a notice with a stipulated price for a full-body shave using a machine. My question is, is it permissible for a man to remove hair from his back and chest/stomach?

Answer:-

The Fuqaha have written that it is against etiquettes to remove the hair of the chest and back. It is, therefore, best that one doesn’t remove the chest and back hair.

Secondly, in order for the barber to remove the hair with a machine, the Satr of a person (which is the area below the navel) will most likely be exposed. It is not permissible for one to view the Satr of another person in this instance, hence, we advise abstention from such a practice.
