Returning a used item
QUESTION:
Please advise on the following:
I purchased a watch from a company. I wore it twice and then decided I did not like it and I want to return it. The company lists the following reasons for returns:
“unwanted item”; “no longer like the product”; “wrong purchase” and “does not meet expectations”
The returns policy states that if the item is used, reconditioned, or unboxed, it cannot be returned. Is it permissible for me to return it and get my cash back?
ANSWER:
It will not be permissible to return the item since the company does not accept ‘used items’, as stated in your query. Hence, it will not be permissible to return the item as an unused item.
