Umm Farwah Radiallahu Anha, who was from among those women who pledged allegiance to Nabi Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam, narrates: The Prophet Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam was asked, “Which deed is the most superior?” He replied, “Offering Salaah at its prescribed time.” [Sahih Bukhari]

A person from the Abdul Qays tribe who was known as Iyad, narrates that he heard Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam saying: “Be particular in engaging in the remembrance of your Sustainer and offer your Salaah at your first opportunity. Surely Allah Ta’ala will multiply your reward for you.” [Tabrani]

Hadrat Ibn Umar Radiallahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: “The beginning of the prescribed time of Salaah earns the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala, while the end earns the pardon of Allah Ta’ala.” [Tabrani]

Hadrat Ibn Umar Radiallahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: “The superiority of Salaah at the beginning of its prescribed time over the end of its prescribed time, is like the superiority of the hereafter over this world.” [Daylami]

Hadrat Anas bin Malik Radiallahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam said: “Whoever offers the Salaah at their prescribed times, performs a complete Wudhu for them, fulfils the standing posture of Salaah, the humility of Salaah, and the bowing and prostrating postures of Salaah; the Salaah will leave him while it is luminous and beaming. It will say to the person, ‘May Allah Ta’ala safeguard you as you have safeguarded me.’ Whoever does not offer them at their prescribed time, does not perform a complete Wudhu for them, does not fulfil the humility of Salaah, does not complete the bowing and prostrating postures; the Salaah will leave him while its dark and gloomy. It will say to the person, ‘May Allah Ta’ala destroy you as you have destroyed me.’ When it reaches to where Allah Ta’ala wills it to reach, it will be folded like a worn-out garment, and the person’s face will be struck with it.” [Haithami]
