- To keep the right foot upright while sitting in Qa’dah and to place the left foot flat foot on the ground (for men.)
- To place both hands on the thighs.
- To raise the index finger in Tashahhud while reciting اَشْهَدُ اَلاَّ اِلَهَ and to lower it when saying اِلاَّ اللّٰهُ
- To recite Durood Sharif in the final Qa’dah
- After Durood Sharif, recite a Dua which is similar to those which appear in the Quraan or Hadith.
- To say Salaam on both sides upon completion of Salaah
- To begin Salaam from the right side
- The Imaam, while saying Salaam, should make intention of the followers, angels and the pious Jinn.
- The Muqtadis while saying Salaam, should make intention for the Imaam, angels, pious Jinns and all the followers on their right and left side.
- The Munfarid (a person performing his Salaah on his own) should make intention for the angels only.
- The Muqtadis should say Salaam simultaneously with the Imaam.
- The second Salaam should be said in a lower tone than the first Salaam.
- The Masbooq (a person who has joined the Imaam late) should wait for the Imaam to end his Salaah before getting up to complete his missed Rakaats
