QUESTION:
I would like to find out what is the Mas’ala regarding a female who is gone for Umrah and gets her Haidh before completing her Umrah. She therefore does not get to make her Umrah, and it is time to leave Makkah Mukarramah. What should she do?
ANSWER:
If a female experiences Haidh after commencing her Umrah, and does not get the opportunity to complete her Umrah (due to her lengthy Haidh) and the time of departure arrives, then she should try to delay her flight for a few more days so that she is able to complete her Umrah and then leave. However, if she wishes to proceed home, then she should slaughter a goat or sheep (which is the required Damm to remove her Ihraam), trim her hair (as required for females) and remove her Ihraam. She will be required to make Qadha of the Umrah which she had commenced at a later stage.
فإن رفضها فعليه دم لرفضها و قضائها لصحة الشروع فيها(غنية الناسك ص124)
حج فأهل بعمرة يوم النحر أو في ثلاثة أيام بعده لزمته بالشروع، لكن مع كراهة التحريم ورفضت وجوبا تخلصا من الإثم وقضيت مع دم للرفض(الدر المختار و حاشية ابن عابدين 2/588)
