Using appetite suppressants whilst fasting

Question:-

I have been prescribed Phentermine by my doctor to get rid of excess weight. It is an appetite suppressant. My doctor prescribed it as all other forms of dieting proved to be unsuccessful, unfortunately – and for my health it is important to drop a few pounds.

My question is, with Ramadan coming up, will it be suitable to continue taking the medication?

Answer:-

There is no problem in utilizing the appetite suppressant prescribed by your doctor during the month of Ramadaan with the proviso that it is taken before Sehri ends and after Iftaar. In other words, the medication cannot be taken from the time of subh saadiq until sunset.
