Wazifah For A Good Proposal

Apr 29, 2025 | Marriage And Divorce

QUESTION:

Please prescribe an ‘Amal that one can read to marry someone on correct Deen (e.g. Hafidh, Aalim, Qaari).

ANSWER:

From the outset, one should keep in mind that it is not necessary for one to get married to a Hafidh, Aalim or Qaari. When looking for a spouse, one should gauge whether he is a practicing Muslim i.e. he is punctual in performing Salaah, he fulfils the commands of Allah Ta’ala, and abstains from sins and the various prohibitions of Shariah., Also, he should have good character and must not have any evil habits.

Yes, over and above all the qualities cited above, if you find a person who is a Hafidh, Aalim or Qari, then this will be an extra perk.

Nevertheless, you may recite the following Surah, Surah Ad-Dahr for a good proposal (The Quraan- A Healing and Mercy to those who Believe Pg.29)

Also read the following Wazifah prescribed by Hadrat Hakim Akhtar Saheb Rahimahullah:

ياَ صَمَدُ يَا عَزِيْزُ يَا مُغْنِيْ يَا نَاصِرُ

O The Independent, O The All-Powerful, O The One that makes one independent, O The Helper.

Hadrat states that, a person who was an Aalim, Haafidh and Qaari, was in debt. Furthermore, his daughter was not receiving any proposals. Hadrat instructed him to recite these four names of Allah Ta’ala. Six months later, while travelling to South Africa via Jeddah, Hadrat stopped for Umrah where he met this same Aalim. Hadrat enquired as to how things were and the Aalim replied: “You turned sand to gold! When I started reciting these four names of Allah, I managed to pay my debt, my daughter received proposals, and I have become a wealthy person.”

Hadrat states it is best to recite these names 119 times at once. If this is not possible, then recite it whilst walking, sitting, etc. There is no fixed amount, hence one may recite as much as he wants, but 119 times was prescribed, as it translates to “Ya Kaafi – O the Sufficient One”, when converting Arabic alphabets into numerals.

Also, there was a businessman in Dhaka (Bangladesh). Someone owed him 400 000 or 500 000 Rupees, but the debtor wasn’t coming forward to settle the debt. He started reciting these four names of Allah Ta’ala and the debtor paid the money back shortly afterwards. The businessman thereafter took Bay’ah from Hadrat. Hadrat says there are many such incidents with regards to these blessed names of Allah Ta’ala.

Hadrat Maulana Abrar-ul-Haq Sahib Rahimahullah presented this Wazifah to someone in Madinah Sharif who was in debt and whose daughter hadn’t received any proposals. Hadrat Maulana Abrar-ul-Haq Sahib then informed Hadrat Hakim Sahib himself that he prescribed his Wazifa to someone, to which Hadrat Hakim Sahib commented, “I make Shukr that my Sheikh accepted my Wazifah.”

In conclusion, these names of Allah Ta’ala should be recited excessively as there is great hope that they will prove extremely effective for our needs. Ameen!

ALLAH TA’ALA ALONE IN HIS INFINITE KNOWLEDGE KNOWS BEST!
