Wearing make-up when leaving the house

QUESTION:

To what extent can a woman wear make-up when going out?

ANSWER:

Shariah has permitted women to utilize make-up within the confines of their home for the pleasure of their husbands, with the proviso that the products being used are free of any Haraam ingredients. However, it is not permissible to use any make-up when leaving the home.

واما التحمير ونحوه فيجوز باذن الزوج في داخل البيت ويحرم بغير اذن الزوج وخارج المنزل (الفقه الاسلامي وادلته 4/2683)
