Question:-
I need to find out with regards to Salaah. Firstly, due to suffering from bladder cancer, I have a drip from the penis. My dad had the same problem and was told it was acceptable for him to read his Salah in bed when he couldn’t sit anymore. I can sit for a maximum of 10 minutes before the spine won’t allow it, because of the chemo nerve damage. I have a problem making Wudhu, because of my lack of energy, it’s difficult to make Wudu 5-6 times a day, and I cannot reach my feet because of complications with hips and knees caused by the chemo. What should I do?
Answer:-
In this instance, any person that is able to assist should bring the water to the bed and assist the patient to make Wudhu. If the patient is unable to reach his feet, then the person assisting should wash his feet. He may not perform Tayammum at this stage.
