Wudhu While Wearing Contact Lenses

QUESTION:

Can I make Wudhu with contact lenses on?

ANSWER:

It is permissible to wear contact lenses while performing Wudhu and Fardh Ghusl. Washing one’s eyeballs is not a requisite for the validity of Wudhu and Ghusl. (RE:Fataawa Darul uloom Zakariyya Vol:1 Pg:654)

وَإِدْخَالُ الْمَاءِ فِي دَاخِلِ الْعَيْنَيْنِ لَيْسَ بِوَاجِبٍ؛ لِأَنَّ دَاخِلَ الْعَيْنِ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهٍ؛ لِأَنَّهُ لَا يُوَاجَهُ إلَيْهِ؛ وَلِأَنَّ فِيهِ حَرَجًا، وَقِيلَ: إنَّ مَنْ تَكَلَّفَ لِذَلِكَ مِنْ الصَّحَابَةِ كُفَّ بَصَرُهُ، كَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، وَابْنِ عُمَرَ – رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ

وإيصال الماء إلى داخل العين ساقط
