Blockages in Life
Question:-
An Aalim was invited to my aunt’s house to find out what was going wrong in the family, and why there were so many problems they faced despite being so wealthy. Nothing would go right for the children. They would find a spouse, but on so many occasions it would break before Nikah takes place. And when they got married, the marriages turned sour. So the Aalim said that they have “blockages”. I would like to find if “blockages” are a reality in our Deen and if so, how can they overcome these?
Answer:-
The greatest of blockages in life are caused by our sins. When sins are removed from one’s life, then the mercy of Allah Ta’ala descends upon a person and this is the stepping stone to happiness and enjoyment. Not performing the five daily Salaah in the Masjid, not discharging Zakaat correctly, glancing and intermingling with Na-Mahram (strange) women, watching filth on the internet and engaging in chats with the opposite gender, oppressing and not fulfilling the rights of others, holding back the inheritance of heirs, not paying one’s creditors, playing music and displaying photos in the home, dressing inappropriately, females displaying themselves and not observing purdah, etc. are some of the things that will cause an obstruction in one’s life. This blockage can only be removed by sincerely repenting and correcting one’s life, otherwise, no Maulana or Aamil can assist in removing this blockage. This is generally the blockage that affects us, but very quickly we tend to blame everything on Jadu, as perhaps this is the easy way out. Correcting one’s life requires effort, dedication and restriction, which we are not prepared to undergo.
In conclusion, our advice would be to correct these matters immediately and together with this, recite the Manzil daily, recite Aayatul Kursi after every Salaah, and the three Quls morning and evening. Insha’Allah one’s matters will be resolved. However, if we fail to sort out these matters and we try to attain success using other means, then it will result in failure. May Allah Ta’ala grant us the understanding. Ameen!
