Question:-
If one chooses to delay the Kaffarah of a fast due to laziness, will one become sinful?
Or is it disliked, like delaying the journey of Hajj for several years, even though one has the means to go for Hajj?
Answer:-
Although it is best that one discharges the Kaffarah as soon as possible, he will not be sinful if the Kaffarah is discharged at a later stage in one’s life before one’s demise.
قال أبو بكر الرازي: وجوب الزكاة على التراخي وكذلك حكى ابن شجاع من مذهب أصحابنا.
وجه ما كان يقول أبو بكر: أنها عبادة شرعية لا تفوت بفوات وقت فلم يكن أصل وجوبها على الفور، كالكفارات وقضاء رمضان والصدقة المنذورة.
