QUESTION:

Is it permissible for a Muslim to design, print, or embroid symbols associated with other religions? The work is carried out strictly on a one-to-one basis, with no form of advertising, promotion, or intention of endorsing those religious beliefs?

ANSWER:

No, it is not permissible to design, embroid and print symbols associated with other religions as this will be tantamount to assisting in evil and transgression.

وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ

“And do not assist in sin and transgression.” [Surah Maa’idah, Verse 2]
