Dhulfa
QUESTION:
Does one get rewarded for keeping a Dhulfa if the hair on the side of the head is combed back, but the top hair is combed to the side?
ANSWER:
Yes, irrespective of the way the Dhulfah is combed, one will attain the reward of keeping the Dhulfa.
One narration explains that when Nabi Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam would comb his hair, he would commence from the right. This narration is general and indicates to the fact that Nabi Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam would comb his hair. However, no specific mention has been made on how he would comb it i.e. to the side, or the back. Hence, both will be permissible and one will receive the reward for Dhulfah in both situations Insha’Allah.
