QUESTION:
With regards to reciting the Qur’aan Shareef, can a woman perhaps read her nightly Surahs (for example, Surah Mulk, Waaqi’ah, or any other Surahs) by memory whilst lying down in bed or otherwise (for example, household chores etc.) without a scarf?
ANSWER:
It is against the Aadaab of the Quraan Sharif that one lies down and recites Quraan Sharif, or one recites without a scarf. One should sit with respect and recite with the head covered.
