Giving Zakaat to a Na-Baaligh child

Question:-

Can Zakaat be given to a Na-Baaligh child?

Answer:- 

Zakaat can be given to a poor, non-Baaligh child, who is of understanding age, with the proviso that the father does not possess the Nisaab.

ولو قبض الصغير وهو مراهق جاز وكذا لو يعقل القبض بان كان لا يرمي ولا يخدع عنه (الهندية ص190 ج1)

وَإِنَّمَا مُنِعَ مِنْ الدَّفْعِ لِطِفْلِ الْغَنِيِّ؛ لِأَنَّهُ يُعَدُّ غَنِيًّا بِغِنَاءِ أَبِيهِ كَذَا قَالُوا، وَهُوَ يُفِيدُ أَنَّ الدَّفْعَ لِوَلَدِ الْغَنِيَّةِ جَائِزٌ؛ إذْ لَا يُعَدُّ غَنِيًّا بِغِنَاءِ أُمِّهِ وَلَوْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ أَبٌ (البحر الرائق ص429 ج2)
